This weeks challenge for the pink team is 'Floral Bonanza' & theres some great inspiration from the design team to get you in the crafting mood! I did a shaped easel card using stamps from the new Little Easter collection.

The image is 'Tilda hiding Easter egg'and I masked her over 'Chicken Wire', that I stamped several times. The papers are from the Vintage Summer collection by Maja Design. I made the shaped card blank using Go Kreate Frilly Frame #5 die. Here's a closer look...

Image is coloured with Distress Inks & the egg is highlighted with Picket Fence glitter. Notice the Tim Holtz tissue tape above, that I've adhered to the strip then curled the ends after pressing several times onto material to remove the adhesive.

The grass dies is by Magnoli and has been cut from Core-dinations Whitewash cardstock. The bird cage die is by Tim Holtz also cut from Whitewash card.

Magnolia card 'Tilda with chicken and egg scene'

Hi all - today I have a spring themed Magnolia card I have made with all my new goodies I have just ordered! Loving the new Little Easter collection & this is one of my fave Tildas from the collection. Card is in shabby chic style with distressed & stiched edges.

I have used 3 images 'Tilda with chicken and egg' from the 'With Love `13' collection, 'Stone Path' from the 'Butterfly Dreams '11' collection and a Wishing well stamp by The Pixie Coattage, images have been layered using masking technique, then coloured with Distress Inks and highlighted with Picket Fence Distress glitter by Tim Holtz. Here's a closer look at the card without the removable tags...

The Tilda image is so beautiful and the background stamps are just great for creating cut little scenes - loving this masking and layering technique at the mo - the possibilities are endless!

The mini-alphas spelling 'spring' are by Pink Paisly from Craftie Charlie. Below shows hindge die from the Tim Holtz Alterations collection, cut from grunge paper, painted white then covered with Picket Fence Crackle Paint and attached with pearl brad. I have also made a tulle 'hammock' to hold some berries by cutting a tulle strip & rolling in to a scroll formation, then tightly twisting and adhering each twist.

The fence die is by Magnoli cut from Core-dinations whitewash cardstock. The metal sentiment tab also by Tim Holtz has then been secured with white raffia, the spiral roses set with pearls trim is from The Ribbon Girl.

Most flowers are Kort & Godt, berries are Magnolia and larger grey flower is Prima. Notice the Tim Holtz tissue tape, I have stuck 3 strips, then removed the adhesive from the ends by pressing onto material several times, then curled the ends back.

I would like to enter into the following challenges:

Tilda's Town - Easter/Spring
Magnolia-licious - Birthdays

MDUC 'Love is all around'

Evening All, I have a card I made for the MDUC 'Love is all around' to show you. Unfortunately it has got dark & the low light has made the pictures turn out not too great - the colours are much more beautiful in real. However its still a sucess (I think?!!)...I made a shaped easel card blank and used the 'Bonny Tilda & 'Flower CLoud' images from the With Love collection.

The shaped blanks have been created with a Go Kreate die and assembled easel fashion. The papers are by Moganolia also from the With Love colleciton. Tilda & the cloud have been attached to the card with an acetate strip that I curved into shape, so they stand away from the card blank & have the effect of 'floating'.

Images has been coloured with Distress Inks & highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust & Viva Declor pen. paper at the back & the little scrolls is manuscript paper. I've also added some pleated tulle around the edges.

The lovely sentiment above reads 'I saw an angel in the marble and carved until I set him free', by Michelangelo. It is from a HOTP quotes CD rom I have.

This is the removable tag, sentiment by Tim Holtz. The heart charm is acrylic I have painted the back with acrylic paint a mixture of pink & white, then stamped the mini sentiment onto the fdront & attached with silver chain & jump ring. The seam binding was white 7 I have coloured with Distress Inks, sprayed with wated & scrunched then dried with a heat tool.

Below shows a side view of the easel & the acetate pieces attaching Tilda & the cloud to the card blank.

Magnolia Pop-up card 'With Love' collection

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Hey crafters, today I'm showing a pop-up card I made with my new valentines stamps & papers by Magnolia. I used 'Tilda with heart arrows' and 'Tilda captures Stars' which is actually from the  Christmas Nativity collection, but works great for a valentines image too.

The papers and Spellbinders Feur de Lies dies have been inked with a blending tool using Antique Linen then Walnut Sain Distress Inks, then stitched with a sewing machine. I've added some tulle gathered up under the opposite sides of the 2 die cuts. The sentiments are from a great little HOTP quotes CD rom I have.

Notice the die cut above with the berries growing out of, this is a smaller feur de lies die that I've cut in half, inked & ripped down the centre, then shaped & stuck in place with berries tucked into the center, to give the effect of them 'growing' through the card.

The angel below is stuck onto a strip of acetate that I have shaped into a curve, so she stands away from the card & bounces about as if flying!

The glass pebble above has been handmade with papers from the same collection. The 2 little scrolls below have been made from old book paper that I cut into 2 strips, rolled & glued each, then tied with twine to finish.

The images have been coloured with Disress Inks & highlighed with crystal glamour dust. The cherub image is stuck onto a cardstock rectangle that folds flat whne the card shuts.

I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

Magnolia card 'Tilda with Heart Arrows'

Hi all - today I am posting this valentines style card using the ever so cute little 'Tilda with Heart Arrows' & I just LOVE her!!! I can't decide which one I like the best setween this & Bonny Tilda, but think that between them they are the best Tildas yet! Love the cloud too!

Papers are also from the new Magnolia with love range, card features a removable tag with handmade glass pebble. The metal gear is by Tim Holtz & has been sprayed white, then coloured with green alcohol ink. Here's a closer look...

Image has been coloured with Distress Inks then highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust. It is matted onto kraft cardstock , then I have added half a Spellbinders tag from the Fancy Tag 3 dies.

The seam binding I used for the bows & flowers started life as an orangy red colour, I added several  pinky shades of Distress Inks & Picket Fence Distess Stain, sprayed with water, crinkled then dried with a heat gun. I then made the flowers below using the spiral technique.

The metal game spinners are by Tim Holtz & have been sprayed white. I then added a pearl brad & layered both onto a vintage button.

Below shows the card with the tag removed, the sentiment stamp is by Tim Holtz.

This weeks challenge is to use things that begin with the letter 'B', so bows, buttons, birdies, butterflies, blue, brown etc. etc.

I'm so chuffed that my new Magnolia Valentines stamps came last week that I just ADORE!!! Each collection continues to excel itself & I keep thinking well surely they can't do better than that this time...but again they proove me wrong & come up with Tildas twice as gorgeous as the last! Magnolia you are AWESOME!!!

My B's are Beauty, Bow (and arrow!), berries, buttons & beads...
...and here's a closer look...

This is Bonny Tilda my fave stamp from the With Love collection 2013, coloured with Distress Inks & highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust.

The flowers are a mixture of kort & godt, Prima, WOC & Kaisercraft.

To achieve the ripped detail with the berries, I used a small Spellbinders Fuer de Lies die & trimmed in half on the diagonal, I then ripped down the center into a kind of 'v' shape, then inked the edges with Antique Linen & Walnut Stain, I then shaped the pieces, glued in place & stuck the berries inside to give the effect of the berries 'growing' through the paper.

Beautiful key charm is by Tim Holtz & the glass pebbles have been handmade from the same papers, then adhered onto a Mother of pearl button.

I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

Totally Tilda - Valentines Tilda
