Hey there & todays post is my third in the Karber spotlight & lovin these images more & more the more I work with them! Don't forget to check out the Karber Digital Images blog, where theres more spotlights & inspiration from the talented design team & they also run their own challenges. To purchase any of the Karber Images click here.

For this post I choose to work with 'Love Eat Sushi' who's just fab - LOVE her! Doing oriental stlye cards isn't usually my thing, but I really fancied this image & the card just fit together effortlessly & was a pleasure to make! - don't you just love it when that happens?!! Really pleased with the results too...

...Papers from are 8x8 paper pad by Dovecraft. The flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts have been attached 2 as they are & the rest with the bottom layer removed for a more orchid look & oriental feel...

...I hammered the bottle top then die-cut & punched 2 patterned paper circles for the center. I then attached a silver fish charm to a piece of silver chain & hooked onto the lags of the epoxy bard, then attached to the bottle top. The 'Live' sentiment is a cut up Tim Holtz adage ticket. ...

...The metal pieces are form my We are Memory Keepers pewter metal hardware tin & fastened with plum HOTP brads. The gorgeous ribbon is by Maya Road & tucks behind a card-stock strip embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder with Martha Stewart double loop edge punch detail in kraft underneath...

...The 2 pins are meant to give the impression of chopsticks & I've finished with 2 buttons & tied the top one with twine. The 'Long & Prosper' sentiment is spelled out in Cosmo Cricket mini-alphas. The 3 beautiful glass bulbs I have made by adhereing with spray adhesive to flowers from the patterned papers.

Karber Digital Images Spotlight 2

Hi all & big appologies I haven't been able to post till now - I have once again ended up without my laptop this week & can't load up photos to my photo bucket for editing on my old slow computer. Anyhow here's my second feature for Karber Digital Images blog, where you can also find there challenges. If you would like to purchase Karber Images click here.

For this feautre I choose to work with another Denny character who I've just fallen in love with! She is called 'Cocktail Denny' & I'm sure you'll agree she is totally stunning!

Photobucket

...I used Kaisercraft paper pad which comes in 6.5" size, so I wanted to make the most of the design by using a larger than 6" card blank. As I usually make my own 6x6" square card blanks from 12x12" card-stock, I had to find a way of using 2 pieces of cardstock together measured at 6.5" which I did by connecting them tent fold with these cute little hindges from my We are Memory Keepers metal hardware tin. I love the result & will defo use the technique again. That extra little half inch may not sound like much, but the extra scope & space it gave me really made a difference!...

...Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The pink & white flowers & I have removed the bottom layer from to give them a more orcid/ oriental feel, which I think really suits the design. The bronze white bloom flower centers are actually old vintage buttons ..

Photobucket

...The chandelier oval is a die cut from the paper pad, which I've layered onto a Spellbinders Shapabilities Fancy Tags 3 die, then another Bronze frame from the pad & finished with a Tim Holtz bronze pin & sworofski crystals. The flower soft which I've used on the piece as well as the rest of the card is Sweet Pea & gives a really nice soft, shabby effefct which I just LOVE at the mo - Flower Soft rocks! The swirl is a Magnolia Doo-Hickey die & the border punch is Martha Stewart Doily Lace edge punch.  Notice the adorable little guitar charm hanging from silver chain...

Above is one of the We are Memory Keepers pewter hinges, fasterned with pewter brad. Notice the paper edges which have been distressed with a craft knife & adorned with Sweet Pea Flower Soft.

Card-Makin' Mamas 'Birthday' challenge (sponsered byTickled Pink)

Morning all & my second post for today is for the Card-Makin' Mamas challenge which we're all really excited about as its being sponsered by Tickled Pink' stamps who are having a special Birthday Celebration! (hence the birthday theme!) We all instantly fell in love with these stamps & I can't believe I've never heard of them before. They are extreemly well drawn images & the style of them is simply out of this world. They are right up my street & I'm absolutely blown away by them! - They will defo become a firm favourite of mine me thinks.

If you would like to purchase any of their images or to find out more info click here.
Or to visit the Tickled Pink blog click here.
I choose to work with this fabulous little fairy 'Lil Allsorts Fairy Kira' who I've just fallen in love with - she totally rocks! I really, really enjoyed working with her & I love the end result...

Photobucket

...The scrummy papers are Annalee by Prima, although I seemed to have covered most of the detail with my Sweet Pea Flower Soft! To create the apature I stuck the doily with spray adhesive, then die-cut with a large Spellbinders Nestabilities circle die. Behind the apature I've attached netting then acetate - love this effect, I just discovered it on my last make & think I'll be using it a lot. I've also attached 2 acetate overlays (the glittery swirls in the topleft & bottom right corners) which came with a Fancy Pants collection 'Lilac House'...

Karber digital images spotlight

Hi all, todays post (which actually should have been Monday, but I scheduled it & once again blogger didn't post it for me, ordinarily I'd check as I have a lot of trouble with this but someone showed me how to do it & I even did a test run that worked, but for some reason it didn't post the real thing.)anyhow as I was saying...

Todays post is for Karber digital images, who I'm very proud to be guest designing for during the month of August. I love finding new products I've never heard of, so when I came across this company I instantly loved there style of images, In particular my fave digis are these trendy 'Deny' characters. The one I've used for this post is called 'Pet Denny' & can be purchased along with a whole host of other cuties here. Also you can hop over to their blog to for inspiration on how to use these great little images here.

Photobucket

...The papers are K&Co. Amy Butler collection & are just perfect for peeling corners back like this to reveal the pattern underneath. I've also distressed the edges a little with a craft knife. The punched detail is a Martha Stewart punch around the page, Double Loops. The ribbon has actually been re-cycled off some box or ohter possibly some bath product! The 'Best Friend sentiment has been spelled out in Cosmo Cricket mini-alphas & I've made a tab style base & attached behind the image. Flowers are green blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts & the cool little centers are HOTP flower brads & ornate flower centers that come in little sets. Notice the cute little dog charm that swings from under the image like its on a lead!...
