I wanted to show you a little collection I ororiginally did for SC&P magazine the other month. The article was about chipboard & how to work with it & needed a feminine birthday theme, so I chose these lovely 'Pink Plum' papers by Crate Paper, with shades of pink, plum & orange. I love making different & unique shaped card-blanks & I'm really into incorporating chipboard into the design...
...The grungeboard flourish by Tim Holtz has been covered in pink acrylic then dry brushed with white, before setting with glossy accents & sprinkling with glitter whilst still wet. Flowers are mostly Prima..
..The image is 'Giner Ketto' by Stamping Bella & has been stamped like paper piecing then layered up like decopage. I'm not sure if the technique has a proper name as I kinda stumbled across the idea myself...
..Basically you stamp the main image whole, then stamp multiple images onto your patterned paper & cut out different sections of each, ie. whole body from 1 image, just sleeves from another, then back of dress, front of dress etc. Now emboss all of the pieces to shape them & assemble onto the main image - just as you would with decopage. I may do a tutorial on a future post if there's any interest..
...I' like to enter this card into the Sketchy Colours 'Pink, Plum & Orange' challenge.

This second card in the collection uses the same 'Pink Plum' collection by Crate Paper & the fabulous 'Maisy Ketto' image by Stamping Bella...
...Large chipboard swirl is Fancy Pants & has been painted with pink acrylic, then white acrylic dots & set with 2 generous coats of Glossy Accents. Journaling pieces are from the 'Pink Plum collection'...
Skin -Tattered Rose
Cheeks - Fired Brick
Dress, tights & hair, wings, wand centre & jewels on crown - Spun Sugar & Barn Door
Crown, pants & shoes - Spun Sugar & Worn Lipstick
Bottom of shoe, trim on dress & outer wand - Wild Honey & Spiced Marmalade
Highlights (glitter, flock etc.)
Wings - Pink Doodlebug design glitter
Centre of wand & jewels on crown - Red flock
Polka dots on dress - White Sakura pen & glossy accents
Dots on ends of hair & round wand - Clear Glaze Sakura pen
...Card blank has been made with my X-cut system using the 'out of box technique' to incorporate the butterfly from the patterned paper which has then been decopaged on top from a duplicate piece, then highlighted with glitter & flock as used on image, I've also added the cute little ladybug charm.
As you can see belom the card blank itself is just a normal circular card, with the butterfly layer overhanging the edge. The swirl is then positioned behind the card front, with the ends of the swirl coming over on top.
The last card has been made using a double fronted technique with a slight twist - cutting the section above the chipboard away & adding a hanging frame. Very simelar to my entries for the SC&P 'Cardmaker of the Year' competition which you can see by clicking on the tab at the top of my blog...
...This chipboard swirl is by Bo Bunny and has been painted with acrylic, then covered in Art Glitter. All the other elements (flower, 'Lovely' die cut & journaling pieces) are die cuts from the Pink Plum collection, the 'day' letters have been printed in typewriter font - bohemian typewriter I think? - can't check as laptops been formatted since & no longer have them, but you can get them from 'da font' & 1000 free fonts'...
Hope you've enjoyed looking, Bye for now! x.
