Whiff of Joy Handmade card-stock Bag

For my second post today I have another handmade bag, this time I've used one of my all time favourite stamps by Elisabeth Bell that hasn't seen ink for FAR too long! However I love that cause now I'm all excited about it & can't wait to use it again - like it's a new stamp! Such a classic & gorgeous image...

...Stunning papers are also a collection I've had for ages & forgot just how much I love them! Its the Shabby Chique collection by Tim Holtz & comes in lovely muted shades of pink's, blue's & grey's. I've used a label shaped 'Get in Shape' template to make the front & back of the bag, which has been cut using the largest size from Bazzil card-stock & decorated using the next size down with designer papers. I've then created a middle section approx 1 1/2" thick with flaps either side to join the 2 pieces together. The insides have all been decorated with the same designer paper collection too. Edges have been inked with Weathered Wood & distressed with craft knife.Lastly the handle has been cut with Martha Stewart Doily Lace edges punch & attached to either side. Here's a closer look...

...This absolutely stunning image is 'Melinda Blowing Kisses' from the Guardian Angel collection by Whiff of Joy & drawn by one of my fave artists Elisabeth Bell, who's images I think are actually THEE best drawn stamps on the market. They all have a simelar look to them and are pretty & sweet in an oldy worldy kind of way and lend themselves perfectly to a shbby chique style...

...She has been coloured with Distress Inks which match the pink, blue & grey colours of the paper EXACTLY as they're both Tim Holtz products. Top, headbands & hearts are Spun Sugar with Pumice Stone shading, Jeans are Tumbled Glass & Weathered Wood with Pumice Stone shading & wings are Pumice Stone. Glitter highlights are Crystal Glamour Dust & you need to see in real to appreciate just how much this glittle sparkles!...

...Large blue rose & small wild grey rose are from Wild Orchid Crafts, I teamed with some lovely pink glittered leaves & white fabric roses which have recently been given to me. Also Doo Hickey Heart Swirl Branch Die cut & pins finish the look. Also notice white lace & just in view cute little silver heart charm distressed with white paint just hiding under the blue rose! Below shows lovely large blue flower (also from WOC) with some distressed pink organza ribbon & blue flower sprays that hang down from the handle...

...Other side of handle decorated with more white fabric roses. LOVE these at the mo - will defo have to find out where they are from & get some more! I've distressed with white paint & finished with Swarofski crystals...
