Magnolia Card & Fancy Box Set

Morning all! Today I'm posting a little card & fancy box set I made a while ago & had forgotton about! I actually made it for a Just Magnolia challenge - then lost my internet before I could post it! So here it is...

The challenge was to use 'Purple & White' if I remember correctly, so I used my Magnolia papers for the job, the box was made using Spellbinders scalloped squares dies & a scoring board. The Tilda is 'Lying Tilda' from the Sweet Rainbow collection 2011 & she's sitting on a Doo Hickey Vintage Tag die

Then I made a matching card with a lovely wishing well background stamp I got I think from the Pixie Cottage for a challenge I won & the Tilda is 'Tilda with Butterfly Dress' from the Butterfly Dreams collection 2011

I've stiched all the edges & inked with Dusty Concord DI then distressed slightly with craft knife, the images are coloured with Distress Inks & higjhlighted with Glamour Dust

Skin: Tattered Rose, Old Paper
Hair: Old Paper, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Satin

Tilda 'Sitting Pretty!'

Here's my third post since my little break shall we say?!! And I can't believe just how excited I am to be back. Bloggers changed & photobucket too so I'm a bit slow & just getting used to it all again, but well chuffed to be back!!! I was really pleased with how the background looked on my last card & how it gave the Tilda stamp another dimention, so I thought I'd give the old masking technique another go!

Lovin' how they go together! & really lovin' my new Doo Hickey dies, I've been after this fence & heart tag die for soooooo long! Notice the removable tag, which actually houses all the embellishments on the right side of the card.  Here's a closer look...

Tilda with Ballet Shoes

Hi again, here's another 'Tilda with Ballet shoes' card, this time with a great little background stamp that I found stuffed away at the bottom of my craft draw (don't think it's ever been used actually!) but I reckon it looks great with this Tilda and shows just how versitile a stamp Tilda is and what fabulous, different looks you can create using a simple masking technique....

I'm really feeling the shabby chique thing at the mo (as you can probably tell!) After years of being frustrated with 'finding my style' I just felt like I was getting there, so after months away from crafting I was worried I'd have lost my mojo! But I think the break has actually done me good - I'm eager, excited & can't wait to get up in my craft room & am lovin' the results!!!

'So sweet' - she really is isn't she?!! Coloured with Distress Inks, highlighted with Glamour Dust (which isn't showing up so great on the pics - she really sparkles in real), I've also used Viva Declor pen (cream) & Flower Soft (Sweet Pea)

 Skin: Tattered Rose
Hair: Old Paper, Walnut Satin
Dress & Shoes: Spun Sugar

Magnolia Card & I'm Back!!!

Hello everyone - long time no craft! As I'm sure some of you have noticed I've been kinda MIA for a few months now! We've had a string of problems with Virgin & the internet, as well as yet another virus on my laptop so it's had to be formatted AGAIN!!! (I've now banned everyone else in the household from using it as I just can't understand why I seem to get a virus every few months or so?!!) Anyhow these technical issues along with a new baby & my partner's firm having troubles leading to time off & lost wages at the worse possible time, things have been a little stressful lately to say the least! But I've managed to order some new craft goodies, which I love & has given me the inspiration & determination to get back on board again. So here's my first make for several months...

...I LOVE this Tilda (although as an ex-dancer I am very bias!) She is Tilda with Ballet shoes from the Prince & Princess collection & coloured as usual with Distress Inks...
