For this card I have followed the Crafting Lifes Pieces beautiful, unusaul & inspiring sketch - love the site & the challenge! I also wanted to make a Mothers Day card & saw the opportunity of using the 3 circles for my bottle top art & chipboard letters to spell 'Mum'...
I LOVE this paper collection & always get great results with it. I've gone for my trusty shabby chique look & love doing easel cards with those slightly more special makes like this - it just really adds to the overall effect & presentation, giving instant elegance...
Image is the fab 'Melinda' by Whiff of Joy & has been coloured with Distress Inks...Skin - Tattered Rose; Cheeks - Fired Brick; Hair - Old Paper, Frayed Burlap & Brushed Cordroy; Top - Spun Sugar; Jeans - Tumbled Glass & Faded Jeans; Wings, roses & polkadots; Spun Sugar & Worn Lipstick; Leaves & stems - Shabby shutters. Wings, flowers & polka dots have been covered with Doodlebug design glitter...
...The flowers are form Wild Orchid Crafts. The bottle tops have been hammeredm then I've attatched 2 die cut paper circles & the chipboard letters. The letters which are Maya Road have been painted with pink acrylic, then I applied Versa-mark & sprinkled with 1 layer UTTE; 1 layer yellow embossing powder; 1 layer UTTE; 1 layer pink embossing powder; 1 layer UTTE. To achieve the correct effect - pour on the UTTE, however sprinkle the powders lightly only...
...The lovely circle & corner embellishment are by Pink Paisly. They come nuetural, I have sprayed them with Tumbled Glass & white & blue mica sprays....
...The gorgeous lace pearl swirls are by Prima - I've wanted these for AGES! I ordered some last week & they arrived 2 days ago, so this is only the second project I've ever used them on an LURVE them, defo be buying more. ..
The metal sentiment holder is from We are Memory Keepers hardware tin in pewter. One of my fave purchases! The ribbon is normal white satin ribbon that I have gone to town with with the same sprays I did the Pink paisly pieces with, then I've trimmed the edges off & pulled some of the threads out to fray. Mini-alpha letters are Cosmo Cricket...
