Magnolia card 'Tilda with Heart Arrows'

Hi all - today I am posting this valentines style card using the ever so cute little 'Tilda with Heart Arrows' & I just LOVE her!!! I can't decide which one I like the best setween this & Bonny Tilda, but think that between them they are the best Tildas yet! Love the cloud too!

Papers are also from the new Magnolia with love range, card features a removable tag with handmade glass pebble. The metal gear is by Tim Holtz & has been sprayed white, then coloured with green alcohol ink. Here's a closer look...

Image has been coloured with Distress Inks then highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust. It is matted onto kraft cardstock , then I have added half a Spellbinders tag from the Fancy Tag 3 dies.

The seam binding I used for the bows & flowers started life as an orangy red colour, I added several  pinky shades of Distress Inks & Picket Fence Distess Stain, sprayed with water, crinkled then dried with a heat gun. I then made the flowers below using the spiral technique.

The metal game spinners are by Tim Holtz & have been sprayed white. I then added a pearl brad & layered both onto a vintage button.

Below shows the card with the tag removed, the sentiment stamp is by Tim Holtz.

Dies:
Doo Hickey So Wrapped Lovely x 2
Doo Hickey Vintage Tag
Spellbinders Fancy Tag 3
Marriane Design English Rose (for kraft leaves)

Deep Ocean - Letter 'B'

Hi all - today it's time for another challenge over at Deep Ocean. Thanks to everyone who entered last time - you continue to impress us with the standard of entries...so beautiful. This weeks challenge is to use things that begin with the letter 'B', so bows, buttons, birdies, butterflies, blue, brown etc. etc.

I'm so chuffed that my new Magnolia Valentines stamps came last week that I just ADORE!!! Each collection continues to excel itself & I keep thinking well surely they can't do better than that this time...but again they proove me wrong & come up with Tildas twice as gorgeous as the last! Magnolia you are AWESOME!!!

My B's are Beauty, Bow (and arrow!), berries, buttons & beads...
...and here's a closer look...

This is Bonny Tilda my fave stamp from the With Love collection 2013, coloured with Distress Inks & highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust.

The flowers are a mixture of kort & godt, Prima, WOC & Kaisercraft.

To achieve the ripped detail with the berries, I used a small Spellbinders Fuer de Lies die & trimmed in half on the diagonal, I then ripped down the center into a kind of 'v' shape, then inked the edges with Antique Linen & Walnut Stain, I then shaped the pieces, glued in place & stuck the berries inside to give the effect of the berries 'growing' through the paper.

Beautiful key charm is by Tim Holtz & the glass pebbles have been handmade from the same papers, then adhered onto a Mother of pearl button.

I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

Totally Tilda - Valentines Tilda
Magnolia Mania - Anything Goes (option of hearts)
Tildas Town - Anything Goes
Songbird - Hoplessly Devoted to You
Stampin for the Weekend - Something Metal

Hello all, I am finally back in buisness!!!

As some of you are aware I have been off line for the best part of 2 months now after a string of internet problems (again) followed by my laptop getting a virus (again!). I had just started 2 new design teams and had only just returned from taking a break after experiencing the same problems in March last year, which was when my daughter was born so I took a few months off due to the hecticness of new baby stuff!

Anyway even though I can't seem to go more than a few months without having problems with my laptop I am determined this time to MAKE it work. I've took some advice about my internet settings  anti-virus softwarde & whilst I was allready doing most of it anyway I'm crossing everything I have to hope it doesn't happen The whole household is now banned from my laptop & even I will not be using it for anything other than work & blogging as I've a sneaky suspicion thats where the viruses are coming from.

So without further ado I am posing today for Deep Ocean design team (missed you guys so much!) Thankyou so much for being so patient with me & I hope I can serve you better this time around. The challenge at DO is 'Love & Lace' and here's my card...

As I've been away from blogging & I've just had some magazine commisisons & a huge wedding stationary order to do I haven't inked any of my Tildas & have missed them so much, but unfortunately I also haven't ordered any of the new love themed collection, which I LOVE!!! So....Summer Flower Tilda it is for me till pay day! ha ha.

The papers are by Inkado & are a lovely butterfly theme. Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks & highlighted with Crystal Glamour Dust. Flowers are kort & godt & Prima.

Dies:
Doo HIckey So Wrapped Lovely
Do Hickdey Vintage tag
Cuttlebug heart die

Thanks for joining me again & hope to see you all soon.

Thursday, 6 December 2012

Dear All,

I am posting to send my upmost appologies for my absence, especially to Deep Ocean & Marvelous Magnolia. My laptop has picked up a virus and has been out of action for almost 2 weeks now. I have tried to post from my Mums computer instead which is what I'm on now, but try as I might I just can't upload my photos onto this computer, so unfortunately I have now given up & can only wait for my laptop to be fixed. I simply cannot afford to take my laptop in to have it formatted at the shop as this cost me £50.00 last time, so am having to get my cousin who works with computers to do this for me. Hopefully it should be done for this weekend when he comes down (he lives in Warrington) so all being well I should be up and running again in a few days.

Sorry again guys, I am so frustrated & it's starting to get me all upset now I hate to let people down, spoils the blogging buzz to say the least. But thankyou all for being so patient, I will post my cards that I have missed asap the second I get my laptop back & I will then get around to visits & comments as soon as I possibly can, hope to be back in buisness soon.

Bye for now,
Debs.x
