LOTV Card - 'Wishes'

Morning all & I'd just like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who has visited my blog since I have returned to it last week, after being away & more through circumstance than choice...it feels sooooo good to be back! I came down this morning & had 10 cool unmoderated comments & am now on a high! Yeah I think I've defo got back the blogging bug again!...

...Today I have a pretty LOTV card for you in one of my fave colour combos pink, blue & green & a shabby, distressed style which I'm really feeling right now! I haven't entered the LOTV challenge in a long while & really wanted to start entering again, they have a great Bingo challenge there at the mo - defo worth checking out, it has loads of scope...

...I have achieved the look by sewwing round the paper edges, then inking with Walnut Satin DI, distressing with a craft knife, then adding white paint. Here's a closer look...

...The stunning papers are the same collection as yesterdays post, they are by 'Kaisercraft' and are called 'Bonjour' LOVE them! I'm mega pleased with the chipboard swirl which I think is a Tando Creative piece. I've painted with a pearlescent white acrylic paint, then finished with Crackle Paint...

...This is one of my all time favourite LOTV stamps (which you'll be seeing a lot more of btw as I've just ordered quite a few new ones!) anyhow this one is 'Fairies on Tiptoe' & she's just so pretty in these muted colours. I have painted with Distress Inks & highlighted with 'Crystal' & 'Bubblegum' Stickles...

...Flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts, they have been distressed with white paint, then glittered with 'Crystal' Stickles, which I've massaged in with my fingers for an even spread...

...The lovely tag above is from the Kaisercraft paper pad, which comes in 6 1/2" square size with die cuts - how cool? I've never come across another brand that puts die cuts in a small paper pad & think its a really great idea! I've spelled the sentiment out in Prima 'Pixie Glen' mini alphas, then added a button distressed with white paint & tied with twine....

..I've distressed the ends of the bow then added some Stickles for sparkle! - Notice the cute little dragonfly charm from Bunny Zoe's crafts, which defo has the best selection of these kinds of charms that I've ever come across anyway. Here's a sneaky peak at the inside...

Hi all & today I have another Magnolia card for you using one of my new Tilda stamps & lovely paper pads. ...Love this Eiffel Tower paper, which I've cut a rectangle from using the 'Out of the Box' technique. I've sewn round the paper edges with white cotton then distressed with Walnut Satin DI & craft knife. Notice above the cut little metal heart charm...

...This little pretty is 'Lying Tidla' from the 'Sweet Rainbow' collection & she has been coloured with Distress Inks then highlighted with white glitter..

...All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & have been distressed with white paint. Notice above the cute little tab & arrow which are die cuts from the Kaiser Craft paper pad, I've finished with handmade glass pebbles...

...The swirls are Tim Holtz 'Elegant Flourishes' die cut from grunge paper, painted white, then finished with Glossy Accents & white glitter. Lovin' my new seam binding & cheese cloth!...

...The lovely butterfly has been cut from the Kaiser Craft paper pad & finished with Prima pearl swirl...

Hey there crafters,hope everyones havin' a good weekend, we've just got out sofas last night after living without any for over a year! Wow what a difference?!! It actually looks like a new room & feels like a proper home at last, so I'm on a big high at the mo & keep just going over sitting on them! Yeah I really need a life! haha.

Anyhow I have another Magnolia card here that I've made for the TOMIC challenge which is a lovely sketch & sporty theme. As a Dancer & Dance Teacher I'm always coming across the phrase 'Dance is my Sport' so thought it would be perfect for this challenge & think I'll put it as a sentiment on the inside...

...I've used Prima Jack & Jill papers in this beautiful soft aqua colour, here's a closer look...



...I think the kraft cardstock really goes with the swiss dots on the papers. Edges have been inked with Walnut Satin & distressed with craft knife...

...She has been coloured for a change with Copics instead of my usual Distress Inks, when I first bought my Copics after getting onto several design teams & having to work with digital images I stamped a load of Tildas & thought I really should put some of them to use. But when I do try them I never like the results as much as my DI's, but actually quite pleased with this one as I've managed to sitll create a soft pastel effect...

I've used my new seam binding to create a shabby bow, then added some Stickles for a little sparkle! The center is a handmade glass pebble which I'm really lovin' at the mo!...

The cute littlte cage is my new Tim Holtz die Mini Bird & Cage which is actually a Sizzix Movers & Shapers die so you need a respective cutting plate - I allready had a large card die that it is compatible with. I've cut it from grunge paper, painted with white acrylic, then finished with Glossy Accents & white glitter...

...Butterflys are a Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly & Classic Butterfly 3 in 1 punches cut from white Bazzil cardstock I've then glittered & inked the edges with Walnut Satin, the pearl swirl is by Prima...

Magnolia Card - Ladybird!

Hi again bloggers & it feels sooooo good to be back! Hope your all having a good doy too! Well for my second post back on the scene I have another Magnolia card from the Sweet Rainbow collection...

...I've used my new Prima papers Pixie Glen that I'm totally in love with at the mo, its such great collection, heres a closer look...

...Edges have been inked with Walnut Satin DI, then distressed with craft knife. The apature has been cut with a Spellbinders die & has a doily round the edge, acetate & netting, then I added the swils coming from the inside...

...This little cutie is Kneeling Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow collection. She's been coloured with Distress Inks, cut out & slightly shaped then adhered with silicone for a little extra dimention.Notice the cute little pebbles which I'm really into at the mo & think they work great with the acetate...

...All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts & have been distressed with white paint. Loving my new cheese cloth - I've seen it around for so long & been meaning to get some for ages - Love the shabby effect it gives!...

...The Magnolia doo hickey dies have been cut from white card & glittered. Love this little quote its so poetic, which is why I wanted to enter it in the Die Cut Dreams challenge to use a poem on your card...

...Love these corners by 7 Gypsies - I've distressed a little with white paint too. Heres a sneeky peek at the inside...

Magnolia Card 'Soar'

Hi all, well I'm sure some if you may have noticed I haven't been around for a while which has been down to illness & family affairs, but I've recently returned to my crafting & have a whole new lease of life for it!

For my first card back on the scene I have used one of my brand new Magnolia stamps which I've been dying to get into for ages now as I think they've gone from strength to strength & loving the new collections especially Butterfly Dreams & Sweet Rainbow. I actually used the sketch from Just Magnolia & the Pink, White & Gold colour scheme from Magnolia Down Under, but didn't get it finished in time for entry - (just wanted to give credit to the sites anyway!)...

...The stunning papers are Lost & Found Rose collection by My Minds Eye in 6x6 paper pad. All egdes have been inked with Walnut Satin & edges sewn on machine...

Image is 'Tilda with Kite' & has been coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks on Watercolour paper.

...All flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts pink & grey are wild roses & white ones are lilies.
Tim Holtz swirl has been cut from grunge board, sprayed with white paint & coated with Glossy Accents...

...Love this gorgeous butterfly charm & makes a change from my usual silver!...

...Leaves are from Magnolia Doo Hickey Swirl & Leaf set & have been coated in white glitter.
