Whoopsi Daisy 'We Love Pink' challenge

Hi all, another Monday & another challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy, where this weeks theme is 'We Love Pink' I think without doubt pink would have to be the most used colour for many crafters out there, so don't be shy lets see what you can do with your pinks! The design teams work is even more stunning than usual this week (maybe cause they all co-ordinate with each ohter being all pink!) but theres some really fab inspiration so pop over there now using the link above.

For my card I've used an extreemly cute little ballerina image from sheet 137 which I've been dying to use |& thought this challenge was perfect for it. (though I have to say I'm dying to use most of them really!) But this ones defo a favourite & along with an arrae of other beautiful images can be purchased here.

I wanted to do quite a simple layout to keep most of the attention on the pretty ballerina, so just accompanied her with flowers. I love these pretty pink foam roses & always use them for Ballet projects cause I just think it really suits them! The lovely check papers are an old Nitwit fqb called 'Itty bitty' I love it though & its seen its uses many a time!

Most flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The 2 supports are actually a Marriane Design corner die that I've trimmed down slightly & adhered inside the card. Other swirl is a Doo Hickey die.

Card Makin Mamas 'Summertime' challenge

Hi again & time for another Card makin mamas challenge, where this fortnight its a 'Summertime' theme. Don't forget to head over to the challenge blog where you can enter your Summery creations & see some other fab inspiration from the design team...

Photobucket

...Scrummy papers that just scream out 'Summer' to me! are 'Sparkly Sweet' by K & Co. Magnolia image is 'Hello little butterfly' from the 2011 Butterfly dreams range. I made a circular easel card, by attatching this main circle to the base. Lovely wide white ribbon tied in bow & decorated with butterfly & button serves as stopper to keep the back standing upright...

Photobucket

...Notice the pom pom trim around the edges by Fancy Pants, such a great little trim!  Flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts & cute little charm from Bunny Zoe Crafts. (Also available from Stamp & Create if you live in America/ Canada) 'Summer Breze' sentiment has been stamped with Studio G mini-alphabet stamps onto kraft cardstock, then I've made 2 tabs from the same cardstock as the base...

Most of the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts - I especially love the big peachy pink one & it killed me using it as it's my very last 1! I'm a bit crazy like that & will only use my last ones of something thats a fave like these flowers on a make where I think is worth it! Silly little me with another of my obsessive tendancies! Oh how the human mind works never ceases to amaze me...or is it just me?...maybe its just me! haha. The swirls are Marriane Design dies & help to balance the card, as does snipping a little of the back of the circle so it stands flat on the surface. The little pewter book plate is We are Memory Keepers & notice the cute little charm which is available along with an arrea of other charms from Bunny Zoe's crafts if your in Europe or Stamp & Create if you are in Canada /America.

The designs are amazing, so well drawn & the service from Linnie is first class. There are usually 4 images on each sheet and at just £1.99 per sheet, the value speaks for itself, and if that wern't good enough allready, there is a special offer on - buy one get one free. So thats a whopping 8 images for less than £2.00...now then, what are you waiting for? Perfect excuse to spend a few pennies me thinks on some of the best value & totally gorgeous images you'll ever buy.  Don't forget to head on over to the Whoopsi Daisy site to enter your 'hot hot hot' creation & to check out the rest of the DT's work who have some really fab inspiration for you...

...Stunning papers are by fancy pants that I've had in my stash for ages & couldn't wait to team them with a fitting image, so when I chose to use this one, I dug them out right away! I do love my easel cards & especially with a littlt twist like this... I stuck this circle on to a twisted easel base...

Photobucket

...I've adhered blue lace around the edge of the circle & sandwitched it bewteen the patterned paper & the cardstock underneath. The edge punch which you can only just see under the paper strip across the center of the card is Martha Stewart doily punch & the scalloped circle framing the image is Spellbinders Nestabilities die. All the edges have been lightly sanded with an emory board...

Whoopsi Daisy X-mas in June challenge

Well before I post this weeks challenge for Whoopsi Daisy - I have another post from last weeks challenge with a big appology & dummy hat for me, as I totally forgot to post my creation for last weeks challenge. Sorry all - it was all done & saved as draft but I just never published it & only realised last night after it was pointed out to me.(such an idiot!) anyhow I thought I'd post it today before this weeks challenge just to show off the stunning image which I am just gutted I didn't post when I should have done. Actually whilst I'm on the subject, perhaps someone could help...I have on a few occasions tried to schedule my posts to start, but every time I have set it, its never published it. I'm going to 'post options' & selecting 'scheduled at' then changing the date & time accordingly, but no joy as yet. Does anyone know what the problem may be, or if I'm going wrong somewhere. This is probably a really stupid question, but does the computer have to be left switched on for it to work? Any help on the matter would be much appreciated as I often write my posts in advance.

So here is LAST weeks challenge post (please don't get confused - this is now closed for entry I just thought it was a shame for it to go to waste & wanted to show off this stunning image which is my fave christmas image I've EVER used!!!)

Hi all & this weeks Whoopsi Daisy challenge is Christmas in June. Great challenge I always love making cards out of season as I think it gives you a nice change. Also it reminds you that in crafters terms Christmas is only around the corner (big sigh) where exactly is it that the time goes again?!! This simply adorable image is from sheet , which along with an arrea of other christmas images can be purchased here. Why not head on over & see if you can get organised with your christmas makes, theres loads to choose from & something to suit everybody & with the outstanding value of these images - I know what I'll be using this christmas for my christmas cards!

Photobucket

I went for a semi-circular card blank, with smaller image circle, which is a bit of a trusty favourite plus I just think that it really suits these daisy images for some reason. How cute is this little angel?!!. Notice the 'snow' effect, which I've done with white flock & the wings have been highlighted with candy pink stickles glitter glue. I LOVE this lace for this design as I think it suggests icycles. I didn't plan the design to look like a sleigh from the outset, but when I was positioning the Magnolia Doo Hickey die-cut swirls, I kinda thought it gave the impression of a sleigh too. This stunning card-stock that I just can't get enough of at the mo is Bo Bunny double dot & gives a great embossed effect, bringing instant texture to your creations. The yummy papers are DCWV rose-tinted christmas stack & are my absolute fave x-mas papers EVER!!!
Notice the little punched snowflakes set with sworofski crystal centers...
