Hey there & today I'm posting for the Just Magnolia 'Green' challenge (if you've seen my previous post - this is the card I decided to use for the challenge in the end!) Anyhow make sure you use the link above to check out the fabulous work by the rest of the design team, then be sure to show us your take on 'green' by entering your creation for a chance to win a fab prize too!
I decided on a nature theme ready for spring & things all starting stirr in the ground! I knew I had some great quotes for this kind of thing that I wanted to use, so decided on an easel layout to pinch a bit more space for the words.... soooo here's what I ended up with!...
...The papers are by HOTP, edges have been inked with Walnut Satin using a blending tool & slightly distressed with a craft knife. I've then sewn around all the edges with my new much loved sewing machine - Can't express how much I'm lovin me sewin machine at the mo!!! - just how much do those stitches add to your card?!!! Here's a closer look...
...The fab Tilda is 'Watercan Tilda' from the Sweet Rainbow' collection who was just perfect for this make - you can just imagine her diggin' those flower beds & watering the plants with those ever so cute little tools...
...She's been coloured as usual with Distress Inks & gave me chance to use my newer & much under-used DI colour 'Bundled Sage' - great colour, I mixed with a little Shabby Shutters & shaded with Frayed Burlap, Walnut Satin & Black Soot...
...After achieving my desired look (2nd time round mind - see me previous post!) I just HAD to find the perfect charm to go with the papers & green fingered Tilda & I think this is defo it - how cute is this spade charm?!! The seam binding started life as cream & I sprayed with 2 different shades of green micas...
...The fabulous looking sentiment is actually off a great little HOTP CD-rom thats packed full of these stylish layed out quotes, think it's called '1000 card quotes.'
